To promote the knowledge and the interest of the public for the Laotian wild orchids.
The goal is to support the bourgeoning awareness of the importance of conservation of biodiversity among Laotian citizens and tourists.
The orchid trek
We want to create an “Orchid Trek” in the Phu Kwa Kwai national park. Small groups accompanied by a orchid guide. Participants discover the national park and orchids in particular. (This reserve shelters approximately 60% of the species of orchids found in Laos.) Additionally, we aim to give alternative activities to aid in replacing the illegal trade of the wild orchids among local villagers.
Book and pictures
We systematically photographed all the orchids in our provision in professional studio.
these pictures have 3 objectives:
- To illustrate the French edition of the book of Dr. Bouakaykonne Svengsuksa and its deluxe edition: “Field Guides, The wild Orchids off Lao PDR”.
- To create a photographic database of taxonomy (identification, classification).
- Artistic pictures
